New Connection to Water & Sewerage
Required supportive documents
For a new water connection
- Photocopy of the building permit
- If the permit has a different name from the applicant’s: documents that connect the two names
- If there is no building permit due to the age of the property (before 1947): a valid document (contract or legalization or E9 form, etc.) that proves the legality and ownership of the property
For a new conection to the sewerage
- Same as a new water connection
- Photocopy of the floor plans of the property
- Declaration of honour of the property owner stating the precise surface of the property in square meters.

Various Changes to your Connection
Required supportive documents
To change the consumer’s name
- In case of rental of a property:
– a copy of the lease from the Taxis system
– the last receipt of the water meter
– for companies: the company’s statute - In case of purchase of property:
– photocopy of the deeds
– the last receipt of the water meter
– for companies: the company’s statute - For transfers between 1st degree relatives:
– title deed of the property or a copy of the E9 form
For the change of the consumer’s name, a warranty is paid, the amount of which depends on the use of the property:
- for homes & businesses not related to food & beverage, € 90.00
- for food & beverage businesses and accommodation businesses with up to 7 rooms, € 250.00
- for accommodation businesses with more than 7 rooms, hotels and manufactures, € 450.00
In all of the above cases, the last bill of the water meter must have been paid.
For additional water meter(s)
- Photocopy of the building permit
- If the permit has a different name from the applicant’s: documents that connect the two names

Bill Review

For a bill review after a leak
- Application
- Receipt or invoice from the plumber who has repaired the leak.
- Plumber’s declaration of honour stating the exact location of the leak and the date of restoration. In the event that the fault was repaired by the consumer, he needs to provide a declaration of honour from a plumber certifying that the repair has been done correctly.
